You know that feeling, when you try something and say to yourself, this is exactly right? Well, that's the teran from the winery Petelin-Rogelja.
Why is it so different? The family stands behind the philosophy that wine is made in the vineyard. Karst, with its small size, allows you to focus on each vine separately. With their warm welcome and an excellent tasting of their wines, you can feel the love they have for the vine, their work and the territory. The aromas of their teran are very authentic, fruity and pleasant. Unlike most teran wines, it has lower acidity and a beautiful rich purple color that you'll bring home on your lips too, because it's impossible to drink just one glass - trust us!
In Gostilna Tomaj, you can try their Izbrani teran PTP and selected spirits, made from flowers and fruits picked from the Karst soil. We also highly recommend visiting their wine cellar, as it is one of the most beautiful in the area. Matej Rogelja will take you through the history of their house, the preparation and tasting of everything that is hidden underground.
